Crazy Talk

Hey Everyone,

I was just sending an email to see if anyone was feeling as crazy as I am at the moment. I have been running a lot lately trying to get back in shape, and I was thinking that I want to run a marathon before I get too old and out of shape to get it done. Seeing as I have my 30th birthday coming up this year, I think now is the time.

There is a marathon in Rachel, NV the week before my birthday. It is on Aug 8th, runs past Area 51, on a full moon night, and the race starts at midnight, so it should only be a perfect 60 degrees in the desert for running. It is call the Extraterrestrial Run, and I think it sounds like a winner. Here is the link:

I am thinking it would be fun to run in this Marathon, and head to Vegas for a couple of days before or after for the birthday. If anyone else would like to join me, watch me try to kill myself in the desert, see a UFO, or just go to Vegas, email me back and we can talk it out. This plan is clearly not thought out very far if it involves me running over 26 miles...

Oh and in case you were wondering, I can only run for about 2 miles now. So if you are out of shape and want to train with me at the YMCA in Parkville and around Kansas City this summer, you shouldn't have trouble keeping up.
